Drive awareness of Olympian Laura Kenny’s partnership with Pod delivery service through PR.

What we did

We were recommended to Pod because of our experience working with sports ambassadors, as well as our ability to turn projects around quickly. In this case, super quickly – 48 hours!

The brand had limited time with existing brand ambassador Olympic cyclist Laura Kenny. One hour in fact! During a series of London office deliveries to Pod Facebook competition winners, we maximised a window of opportunity. We set up 60 minutes of interviews with select editorial; the Press Association, Fabulous (Sun on Sunday), Daily Telegraph & The Huffington Post.

We ensured we worked with editors that we knew and who, like Laura, were fully briefed by our team. Ensuring a confident and authentic brand ambassador with a story to tell, and well managed media expectation. In turn, this simple but effective approach led to quality coverage – all of the resulting content included key Pod messaging, supported by branded photography and linked back to the website.

Coverage ran across all attending media, as well as a syndicate interview from the Press Association, which appeared on over 30 lifestyle websites including Closer and OK! Magazine, alongside regional and cycling news pages.

Opportunities to see reached over 55,000,000 people, whilst the return on Pod’s investment was a whopping 25:1 demonstrating the quality and depth of our media relationships.
