The Challenge

The energy drinks market has seen continued growth since the launch of Sales Supercharged; the retailer support initiative from Monster Energy & CCEP.

Now valued at an impressive £2.4 billion and growing at a blistering rate of 15.9% year-on-year it’s a huge category, driving big sales for convenience retailers across the UK.

In keeping with this momentum, we were tasked to mark the fifth consecutive year of Sales Supercharged by elevating the campaign through a new look and comms platform, continuing to ensure that retailers have the right tools to make the most from this booming sector.

Our Approach

Leveraging the existing brand elements, we introduced a modern visual identity, complete with a new font, simplified layout, and refreshed backdrop.

This was rolled out across a brand-new website with enhanced functionality to provide retailers with clearer, more accessible information including: the latest Monster NPDs & flavour profiles, downloadable planograms, POS tools, market trends, retailer profiles & top tips, as well as a new With Food section, expanding the site's reach to foodservice outlets.

We amplified the launch across a four-month trade advertising, social and PR campaign with an overall reach YTD of 1,138,464, once again featuring our star retailer ambassadors Natalie Lightfoot, Bay Bashir and Jack Matthews.

Following high demand from previous years, we continue to offer retailers the chance to win money-can’t-buy prizes, driving even further traffic to the website.

“Mercieca have once again excelled expectations with Sales Supercharged 5.0. Now in it’s fifth year, we’ve given the campaign a total re-haul across all touchpoints, including the website which is now an established energy drinks hub for retailers across the UK, seeing an average of 1475 visitors every month. The initiative continues to gain momentum across the industry and we’re excited to see how it evolves into 2026 and beyond.”
